About the Role
Occasional helpers are the backbone of any Scout Group. Working as part of the Leadership team your role is to support the learning of the young people and be that support that keeps the evening running smoothly.
What your first 4 weeks would look like:
Week 1: Observation - Come down see how we run get stuck in with anything that you feel confident to do so but quite a light evening.
Week 2: Action - Run a Game, we'd help you with some games that you could run or you may have a game that we haven't tried before.
Week 3: Planning - The previous week we will have given you a subject (badge criterion) to plan an evening around, we also have complete plans that you could run. In this week you take an active part in the running of the evening.
Week 4: Chat - In the fourth week we'll have a chat about how you have enjoyed your first few weeks working with us and where you would like to go from there.
