One of our Young leaders William received the Community Ambassador award for Mind Bexley. He was presented the award at the Kent Mental Wellbeing Awards. This event brought together individuals and charities from across Kent all of whom are doing incredible work in supporting communities and are inspiring others.
As a Group we are incredibly proud of William and everything he has done to support the younger sections at 2nd Welling. William was the youngest recipient of an award on the evening and was mentioned by name in one of the speeches reiterating what we know at 2nd Welling of what an inspiration he is to those around him.
William is a 15-year-old Explorer Scout and a member of the Young Leader programme. He has displayed exceptional leadership and commitment within the Scouting community - serving as a mentor to younger members. William consistently exceeded all expectations when when supporting younger members. His growth as a compassionate and caring individual, shaped by his Scouting journey from a young age, has been remarkable. This award recognises his contributions and the person he has become within the community.
